Software Developer

What the role involves

As a Software Developer you will you will work with the various internal teams and clients to build and maintain in-house developed applications and customisations for MYOB EXO (on-Premise SQL based) and MYOB Advanced (Cloud SaaS C# ASP.NET). These range from small customisations right through to front line business applications in Warehousing, Manufacturing and Inventory management.

If you are looking for a challenging role that offers broad exposure to different technologies, then this could be the job for you.


  • 5+ years commercial development experience utilising Microsoft .NET technologies – C# and ASP.NET
  • Solid experience in web technologies including HTML, XML and web services (SOAP and REST Based)
  • WinForms and WPF VB.NET experience (for legacy application maintenance)
  • Strong proven skills in database design and development using Microsoft SQL Server 2008+ and T-SQL stored procedures
  • To work successfully with other developers as part of a small, focused team
  • Analytical skills and driven by quality

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the ERP space and financial systems
  • Relevant industry certifications
  • Exposure to MYOB EXO and/or MYOB Advanced platforms

As a Business Systems Consultant you will be implementing and managing end to end projects to meet our clients ERP system requirements on time and within budget. You will be able to assess client needs and provide prompt solutions to manage their requirements. You will have the skills to drive the project to exceed client expectations.

Business Systems Support Consultant

We have been recognised as MYOB Exo Partner of the Year 2014 and 2015. With rapid growth plans we are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic support consultant to join our software support team.

What the role involves

  • Provide first level support for clients via phone and/or remote access
  • Action and manage support tasks raised by the client, you will need to understand their issues, document and work to resolve them in a timely, accurate and professional manner
  • Research functional requirements, conduct testing, and provide quotations for development of work required by customer.
  • Design, develop and implement reports, forms and SQL functionality as required
  • Assist clients to utilise software functionality to maximum effect
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, subject matter experts, product owners, and clients as required.
  • Test and perform software upgrades as required
  • Be a problem-solver who is resourceful, inventive, and takes pride in their work
  • Be willing to continuously learn business software systems and expand into more technical tasks

To succeed within this supportive team, you will need to be motivated, driven and proactive; an excellent individual with excellent communication skills. Above all you’ll need a positive attitude to match the pace of the team. All product specific training will be provided.


  • Enjoy problem solving and generally be IT savvy
  • Ability to think laterally and creatively
  • Ability to scope, design and implement solutions to issues
  • Good organising and planning skills
  • Possess the ability to build rapport and convey technical information in a logical manner
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to prioritise and undertake multiple tasks

Nice to have:

  • Experience in a professional customer service role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server
  • Formal qualifications in Accounting or Information Systems (or relevant experience)
  • Good computer acumen and technical abilities
